#1 Mistake Brunettes Are Making

Updated: Aug 20

Hey! I’m sure you’re wondering “okay Amy, what mistake am I making with my hair”… the #1 mistake brunettes make is not getting your hair done by a brunette specialist!

What is a specialist anyway…

“A specialist is someone who has done all the things and found their passion”

As a 15 year stylist, I have had many different guests, different hair, lots of hair textures, various colors, new techniques and all kinds of hair experiences.

As a stylist you want to experience as much as this industry has to offer. But… as you get more experienced and learn more, you find out what your calling is!

For me I have always loved taking people lighter. At one point I was what you would call a “blonde specialist” but at some point I really honed in on brunettes.

Brunettes have a way of exuding natural confidence and I wanted to help create that with your hair as well. Starting out as a blonde specialist really helped me understand modern techniques and how to apply them to brunette hair.

Seeing a brunette specialist means… never going too light (unless you want to), how to conceal greys while still being called a brunette, creating softer features in your face by going slightly lighter, even creating low maintenance as a blonde (more on that later 😉) and so much more!

“Being a brunette doesn’t have to be boring, let me help you elevate it so you can show up as your beautiful confident and natural self”

A brunette specialist can formulate your best color based on the conversation you have during your consultation. Whether you want golden tones that reflect in the sunlight or a mushroom brown that feels more earthy.

Even brunette hair has different timelines of when you will return to the salon. So during your consultation we will talk all about your inspiration pictures and what shades work best for your budget and lifestyle.

In this blog, we have talked about what a specialist is and why you need to see a brunette specialist. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for next week’s blog!
